Intentionally covered in web mention research

Reddit and Google Reviews do not have separate channel pages yet. They are still part of the official 10-channel coverage: myDid looks for your brand mentions there as part of open-web research.

Reddit — public threads & niche communities

Public subreddits often surface product comparisons, complaints and recommendations before they hit mainstream press. myDid intentionally scans these public conversations when researching web mentions of your brand — so forum reputation is not a blind spot.

  • Public threads and comments mentioning your brand
  • Niche communities where buyers ask for alternatives
  • Scored like other web sources in your Reputation Score
Google Reviews — trust signals prospects see first

Local and product reviews on Google strongly shape purchase decisions. myDid intentionally includes public Google Reviews in web mention research so you can catch reputation shifts where customers already look for proof.

  • Public reviews linked to your brand presence
  • Early detection of negative review spikes
  • Context for local and product trust signals

Why Web & Press matter for brand reputation

Press coverage shapes first impressions

When potential customers Google your brand, the first results they see are often news articles and review sites. A single negative tech blog post can suppress conversions for months. myDid ensures you always know what's appearing in those top results.

Evergreen content has lasting impact

Unlike social media posts, web content persists and ranks for years. An article written today influences your brand perception indefinitely. Early detection gives you the best chance to respond, correct inaccuracies, or amplify positive coverage.

B2B buyers start with research

Before a B2B buyer contacts your sales team, they've typically read 3-5 pieces of content about your brand. The web and press is where that research happens — and where your reputation is built or broken.

How myDid monitors the Web & Press

1
Web crawling & indexing

myDid continuously crawls news sites, blogs, forums, review platforms, and Google News for content mentioning your brand. New publications are typically detected within hours.

2
Source authority scoring

A mention on TechCrunch carries different weight than a personal blog. myDid scores each source by domain authority, audience size, and industry relevance to help you prioritise your response.

3
Content sentiment analysis

Each article is analysed for overall sentiment, specific claims made about your brand, and competitive context. Factual inaccuracies are flagged so your PR team can request corrections.

4
Historical reputation audit

When you first connect your brand, myDid audits existing web content to give you a baseline. You'll see what's already ranking, what's positive, and what needs a response strategy.

Frequently asked questions

Which web sources does myDid monitor?

myDid monitors news sites, industry blogs, forums, Reddit (public threads), Google Reviews, other review platforms (G2, Capterra, Trustpilot), newsletters published online, and general web content indexed by major search engines. Reddit and Google Reviews are intentionally included in this web mention research.

Why don't Reddit and Google Reviews have their own pages?

Dedicated pages will come later. Today both sources are covered on purpose inside Web & Press: when myDid researches brand mentions on the open web, it looks for Reddit discussions and Google Reviews as part of that same search.

Can myDid detect paywalled articles mentioning my brand?

myDid monitors publicly accessible content. For paywalled articles, we detect the headline and metadata, and flag the publication for manual review since these often still rank in search results and influence perception.

How far back does the historical audit go?

The initial web audit covers content published in the past 24 months. For older content, custom historical scans can be configured on Growth and Leader plans.

Can I track press mentions in multiple languages?

Yes. myDid supports brand mention monitoring in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. Additional language support is available on enterprise plans.
